The Juliette Gordon Low house host Girl Scout troops from all over the country. The Girl Scout Heritage Visit has been a longstanding tradition and the dream of many current and former Girl Scouts.
As part of their adventure, the Girl Scouts experience a guided tour of the Birthplace, pinning ceremonies in the garden and many other scrapbook-worthy activities.
What would a trip to Savannah be without shopping, eating and sightseeing? Many Girl Scouts have a ghost tour at the top of their list. There’s even a romantic ghost story on the Birthplace website: juliettegordonlowbirthplace.org
According to the legend, Willie Gordon’s ghost (Daisy’s father), was seen leaving the home immediately after Nelly Gordon (Daisy’s mother) passed away. It’s believed that the groom had come back to claim his bride.
Savannah Ghost Show explores this and other tales of Savannah. Spooky magic tricks are incorporated into each tale to make this an interactive adventure for Girl Scouts and their troop leaders.
If you are a Girl Scout Adult and arriving for a Sojourn, please contact us and we’ll be happy to discuss group discounts and details about reserving a tour.
